American Heart Association/American Stroke Association 2012 Get with the Guidelines® Stroke Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award The American Heart Association and American Stroke Association recognize this hospital for at least 12 consecutive months of 85% or higher adherence to all Get With The Guidelines^® Stroke Performance Achievement indicators for consecutive 12 months intervals and 75% or higher compliance with 6 of 10 Get With The Guidelines Stroke Quality Measures to improve quality of patient care and outcomes. 2012 Get with the Guidelines® Heart Failure Silver Plus Quality Achievement Award The American Heart Association and American Stroke Association recognize this hospital for at least 12 consecutive months of 85% or higher adherence to all Get With The Guidelines^® Heart Failure Performance Achievement Indicators and at least 12 consecutive months of 75% or higher compliance with 4 of 9 Get With The Guidelines Heart Failure Quality Measures to improve quality of patient care and outcomes.
Gold Seal of Approval from the Joint Commission The Joint Care Center, a division of the Orthopedic Institute, earned the Gold Seal of Approval from the Joint Commission and has Joint Commission Certification for Total Hip and Knee Replacement.
Highmark Blue Distinction Center® The Joint Care Center is designated as a Highmark Blue Distinction Center® for Knee and Hip Replacement.
Aetna Institutes of Quality® Jefferson Regional Medical Center is designated an Aetna Institutes of Quality® (IOQ) for Total Joint Replacement and Spine Surgery.
Fine Award for Teamwork Excellence in Healthcare A multidisciplinary clinical team at Jefferson Regional Medical Center won the 2010 Gold Award at the 3rd annual Fine Awards sponsored by The Fine Foundation and the Jewish Healthcare Foundation for its entry, “Eliminating Ventilator Associated Pneumonia in the ICU.” The unit has not had a case of ventilator-associated pneumonia since first quarter, 2009.
